20. Biblioteca España, Santo Domingo




The Biblioteca España is situated on a hill in Santo Domingo, near Medellin, in Colombia, an area that has been heavily hit by violence and drug trafficking between 80 and 90 years. The library was built as part of an initiative to promote urban development and to provide more opportunities for the poorest residents.

19. Piet Blom's cube houses, Rotterdam, Holland



This is a unique architectural design, characterized by various cube-shaped buildings toppled, designed in the 1970s by the Dutch architect Piet Blom. It is residential complexes that can be seen in the city of Helmond and Rotterdam. Piet Blom's works can be admired also in Toronto.
