The word Crossover literally means cross. The mix of styles and influences could only find its natural outlet in Rock, real hybridizations laboratory since its inception. But since the mid 80 's that this term is used to define those bands that combined the Thrash Metal with the speed of Hardcore, and then find the lifeblood of those seemingly insuperable racial barriers and impassable.
From vibrant collaborations between Aerosmith and Run-DMC or the next one between Anthrax and Public Enemy, the black culture affects the soul these grown white bread bad guys and Hardcore, opening the door to a Sonic universe that knows no bounds.
With this ranking we wanted to pay homage to the Kaleidoscope of genres "globe overlaid" with each other, with the desire to provide a sort of photograph of the Crossover meant as attitude applied to Hard Rock and Metal. Good insight!
